As a teenager growing up in the early to mid 1960's, I was into cars and racing (I still am 50 years on). My first trip to Castlereagh was with a friend in 1965 for an ARDC sprint meeting, where he was racing a Fiat.

Then in 1966 I went to the Dragfest to see the dragsters from the USA. I then started racing my EH Holden in 1967 and in 1971 purchased a HG350 Monaro which went from street car to race car in the first ten years and I only recently sold it after 37 years. I've been to over twenty Dragstrips and race tracks either competing, photographing and sometimes both. Do you see a pattern here?

My paying job for over 25 years was owner of Racing Head Service, which allowed me the time, knowledge and finances to race.
